Women with harmful BRCA mutations have a higher than average risk for being diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer in their lifetime. Unaffected carriers (previvors) are those women who have a mutation but have never been diagnosed with cancer. The BRCA Decision Aid is a guide for these women. It is based on National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines and current research, including Dr. Jabaley's research focusing on the experience of decision making for BRCA+ previvors. Many women describe the decision making process as a journey. The BRCA Decision Aid is designed to help women navigate this journey.
